Document marketplace

Tshijuka

A trusted marketplace where people and organizations store, monetize, discover, and use documents to unlock scholarships, jobs, training, funding, and more.

Two sides, one platform: list and earn from documents you hold—or access public listings and turn verified records into real opportunities.

I have documents I want documents

Operational across Africa and beyond

The Problem

People and organizations rarely give importance to documents—even monetizable documents such as educational and business documents—until they lose them and miss real opportunities. When those documents are needed again, accessing them is often almost impossible: scattered across institutions, locked in paper-only systems, or gone entirely. The cost is missed jobs, admissions, funding, and partnerships at the very moment proof is required.

Our Solution

We built Tshijuka—a document marketplace platform that solves both document loss and document access.

If you have documents: secure storage with a choice of private listings (accessed by direct request to you) or public listings (available to everyone on the platform), plus guidance to organize and monetize your records.

If you want documents: view documents on the platform and request access from holders. Download is not allowed unless the uploader marks a document as free for specific groups of underprivileged people—then use verified records to unlock education, employment, business, and other opportunities.

How the marketplace works

Tshijuka connects document holders and document seekers with storage, payments, verification, and opportunity tools—not just another filing cabinet.

1

List or discover

Holders upload documents and choose private storage (seekers request access directly from them) or public listings (visible to everyone on the platform). Seekers discover listings and submit requests.

2

Pay & verify

Fair fees, secure payments, and traceable status—from request to verified view or approved access—across borders when needed.

3

Use for opportunities

Turn documents into action: admissions, employment, licensing, compliance, partnerships, and funding on the platform.

If you have documents

Choose private storage so documents are only accessed by direct request to you, or list them publicly for everyone on the platform. Set fees, approve requests, and monetize responsibly.

If you want documents

View documents on the platform and request access from holders. Download is not allowed unless the uploader marks a document free for specific groups of underprivileged people you belong to.

Private, public, view, and download rules

Clear access rules protect holders and seekers on the marketplace.

If you have documents — your storage options

  • Private: Stored on the platform but only accessible when someone requests access directly from you—you approve each request.
  • Public: Listed for everyone on the platform to discover, view, and request according to your access and pricing rules.

If you want documents — what you can do

  • View: You can see documents on the platform to decide what you need before requesting or paying for access.
  • Download: Not allowed by default. Uploaders may mark a document as free to download only for specific groups of underprivileged people—otherwise access stays view-only or by approved request.

Document categories on the marketplace

Tshijuka is built around documents that matter when opportunities are on the line—including monetizable records that holders can list responsibly and seekers can access to prove qualifications, eligibility, or compliance.

Educational, research, business, and administrative documents are the core listings on our marketplace.

Educational documents

Qualification records—transcripts, certificates, diplomas, references, and admissions files issued by schools and training centres.

Research documents

Research records—ethics approvals, grant files, publications, and verified outputs from institutes and labs.

Business documents

Business records—registration certificates, contracts, tax files, and compliance documents from enterprises and registries.

Administrative documents

Administrative records—IDs, permits, personnel files, and official forms from institutions and authorities.

What counts as a document on Tshijuka?

On Tshijuka, a document is more than a file—it is proof you can store, trade access to, or use when an opportunity requires it.

Existing in digital or physical form, a document is "a structured amount of data that can be managed as a unit" (ISO, 2011).

Form

Exists digitally or physically as structured information that can be stored, copied, and managed as one unit.

Purpose

Proves identity, qualifications, eligibility, rights, ownership, compliance, or a completed transaction.

Issuer or holder

Created, held, or authorized by a school, business, institution, registry, or other trusted body.

Access

Can be stored private (direct request to the holder) or public (discoverable on the platform). Seekers may view listings; download only when the uploader allows it— including free download for specific underprivileged groups.

Marketplace value

May be monetizable when fair fees unlock access, replacement, verification, or timely delivery.

Categories we list

Educational, research, business, and administrative documents—including monetizable records such as educational and business documents.

How document requests work

Not every holder of a document joins Tshijuka as a subscriber. We use two clear paths so you know whether you have documents to offer or want documents to access.

If you have documents — protect & issue on the platform

Schools, training centres, libraries, research bodies, arts groups, nonprofits, for-profits, and institutions that give, sell, or issue documents can subscribe on Tshijuka. Those who want documents submit requests directly—no guidance person required.

Institutions — through your guidance person

Schools, universities, hospitals, embassies, and government offices are not asked to subscribe. When you need a document from them, your guidance person coordinates access on your behalf while you follow progress on the platform.

Our platform supports cross-border document access, direct requests to subscribed organizations, guidance-person coordination for schools and government offices, Tshijuka Pack storage, affordable payments, and full status tracking.

If you have documents, subscribe on the platform. If you want documents from schools or government offices that are not on Tshijuka, your guidance person handles those requests. Together with our Lapaz service center, we keep document access simple, traceable, and secure.

Beyond documents: opportunities & reminders

Once your educational, research, business, or administrative documents are in order, Tshijuka helps you stay ahead—scholarship reminders for students and researchers, job alerts for workers, and training or funding opportunities for entrepreneurs.

4 active opportunities listed on the platform today

Partnerships beyond schools alone

Tshijuka works with educational institutions—and with professional bodies and employers that routinely verify certificates and credentials. We define success indicators at the start of each pilot so partnerships can be evaluated with evidence, not anecdotes.

Schools & universities

Pilot partnerships with registrars and admissions offices to streamline transcript and certificate requests, reduce turnaround time, and give students transparent tracking.

Professional bodies & employers

Law societies, medical councils, recruiters, and HR teams that verify qualifications can use the platform to receive structured requests, stored issuer documents, and auditable status—cutting repeat administrative work.

How we measure pilot success: Requests processed, average turnaround (days), request volume over 30/90 days, completion rate, issuer-uploaded documents (fewer repeat lookups), and comparison to pre-pilot baselines for turnaround and admin hours.

Pilot success metrics

We measure partnership value with clear indicators—updated from live platform data so schools, universities, professional bodies, and employers can see real results.

1 Requests processed
Avg turnaround
50% Completion rate
2 Last 90 days
1 Active pilot partners
0 Issuer uploads

Metrics include requests processed, turnaround time, completion rate, partner activity, and issuer uploads that reduce repeat administrative work. Baselines are recorded at the start of each pilot for before/after comparison.
